I’ve worked in the financial services industry for most of my working life. I joined MAB South West in 2017, which helped me start up and build Jack Gear Financial within the MAB network. We’ve grown from 1 to 10 in the team over the last couple of years and love the fact we’re able to help so many people every year, and not only in the local area but all over the UK too.

Between 2010 and 2013 I was a professional freestyle mountain bike rider.

I started with Jack Gear Financial in 2021 and have been involved with mortgages and financial services for over 30 years. I love to help clients achieve their dreams and there’s nothing that comes close to the satisfaction you feel. Whether that’s buying their first home, moving house or re-mortgaging. I believe that listening to your clients and understanding their goals is vital so that I can tailor advice to suit their individual needs.
Fun fact
When I was 11 I got a post office as a Christmas present and dreamed of working in one. Years later, I ended up owning one!

Having spent over 20 years as a maths teacher and chief examiner for a leading awarding body, when the opportunity arose to enter the financial sector as an equity release adviser I jumped at the chance to further develop my skills in supporting people through the potential maze of later life lending. Working within the team, I can help people in every stage of their property journey and seeing the difference equity release can make to peoples’ life is truly uplifting.
Fun fact
I help my wife run a wildlife rescue and I also enjoy wild camping in my spare time.

I joined Jack Gear Financial in 2021 as a receptionist and administrator and became a qualified adviser in March 2022. I love the challenges and the learning opportunities that this job brings every day, but most of all I love helping my clients achieve their goals, whether its buying their first home, their forever home, or anything in between.

I played professional golf prior to joining the team and I continue to play now, but just for fun (and to beat Jack and Barry!)

I started working as a Mortgage and Protection Adviser for Jack Gear Financial in August 2020, after an 8 ½ year career working within the banking industry. I have always enjoyed helping clients to achieve their financial goals and strive on providing excellent customer service. Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my husband, daughter and walking my Labrador Moseley.

I was very keen on playing music growing up so I wanted to be a music therapist!

I have been in employment since my early teens, working in various different jobs from a confectioner to a mechanic. I am excited to have joined Jack’s team in the finance industry and I am eager to develop my knowledge of the business, currently supporting the existing advisers on the admin side. I am a very sociable person who enjoys meeting and interacting with people.

I joined the Jack Gear Financial team in 2024 as a receptionist after working in health clubs for over 14 years and in casinos before that. I am really enjoying being part of a face-to-face team again after working from home for the last 3 years. I love to help others in any small way I can. My passion in life is singing. Food is a very close second. To combine the two with friends and my family is the ultimate.

I appeared with Jason Donovan in Joseph and the Amazing Technicoloured Dreamcoat in the West End when I was 13 years old and featured in his Any Dream Will Do video!

Since leaving school I have enjoyed occupations including bar management, funeral directing and 2 ski seasons. I joined Jack Gear financial in 2024 with great mix of customer service skills acquired from my previous experiences, with the aim to being a fully fledged adviser in 2025.

As well as being a keen skier, I played football for the Plymouth Argyle youth teams and am still an avid supporter of Argyle.

I took an interest in the financial services industry and was grateful to have been given the opportunity to work here. I’m also excited to be part of a business with great career opportunities for the future.

I was once in a take a break magazine when I was born because I was the 5th living generation of my family tree. Meaning I had 3 great great grandmothers all alive at the same time.
